Paolo Soleri (21 June 1919 – 9 April 2013) was an Italian-born American architect who originally introduced the concept of arcology, blending architecture and ecology into a visionary urban design philosophy. However, at Arcology Now, while we acknowledge Soleri’s role in pioneering this idea, we recognise and believe the allegations of sexual abuse made against him.
We believe in separating the creator from the creation. Our focus remains firmly on the potential of arcology to revolutionize urban living, striving to embrace and evolve this concept for a sustainable future. We’re committed to advancing arcology as a powerful idea in its own right, ensuring that its value is not overshadowed by the controversy surrounding its originator.
